‘Handmaid’s Tale’ star Elisabeth Moss expecting first child

Elisabeth Moss is going to be a first time mom at age 41.

The Emmy Award-winning actress, known for “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Mad Men,” confirmed her pregnancy during Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed Method actor?” the host asked when she appeared onstage with a noticeable baby bump.

“A little bit of both,” Moss replied before adding that she’s been “really lucky” because her pregnancy has “been going really well.”

Moss then asked Kimmel for some advice, to which he shared some birthing tips he received from actor Bill Murray when Kimmel and his wife, Molly, were expecting one of their four children.

“He said, ‘Bring Christmas lights to hang [in the delivery room], or beads of some kind, a night light,” he recalled. “He said bring music, which everybody tells you … Bring battery-powered candles, if you want a candle.”

“The lighting is terrible in the room,” Kimmel explained. “It’s Walmart-style lighting for this blessed event that’s going to happen and you don’t want that.”

Moss, who had a brief “traumatic, awful, horrible” marriage to “SNL” alum Fred Armisen in 2009, did not not share further details about her pregnancy or when she was due.

Two years after her divorce, Moss began dating Adam Arkapaw, an Australian cinematographer known for his work on HBO’s “True Detective.” They parted ways in 2015.

The British-American star has since kept a low profile when it comes to her private life, but did reveal in 2018 that she would like to be a mom one day.

“I do want to be a mother,” she told Marie Claire UK. “I like the idea of passing on what my mother passed on to me. It’s not for everybody, and I didn’t know if it was going to be for me, but lately, I think it is.”
