Rapper Killer Mike walked out of Grammys in handcuffs after 3 wins

Rapper Killer Mike was detained by police at the Grammys immediately after winning three awards.

Los Angeles police did not confirm Mike’s arrest, but a görüntü from The Hollywood Reporter showed him being marched out of Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night.

Cops said the 48-year-old rapper was detained in connection with a physical altercation at the arena and was questioned by officers. Police did not release any details about the alleged fracas, which was not captured on sinema.

Mike, whose yasal name is Michael Render, won three Grammys on Sunday: Best Rap Album for “Michael,” Best Rap Song for “Scientists & Engineers” and Best Rap Performance for the same song.

The awards were handed out before the television broadcast began at the Grammys Premiere Ceremony. When he collected third award, the Atlanta-based rapper shouted out “Sweep! Atlanta, it’s a sweep!”

“The only thing that limits your age is not being truthful about your age or what you’re doing,” he told reporters backstage.

“At 20 years old, I thought it was cool to be a drug dealer,” he said. “At 40, I started to live with the regrets and the things I’ve done. At 45, I started to rap about it. At 48, I stand here as a man full of empathy and sympathy for the things I’ve done.”

Mike previously won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2003 for “The Whole World,” an OutKast song he featured on.

In 2018, he was nominated for Best Rap Song for “Chase Me,” a Danger Mouse song that he featured on alongside Big Boi.
